A Petition to create a State license catgory for Roof Cleaning in Florida.

There is currently no State License for roof cleaning, that means no exams, no training and no safeguards for consumers.

A lack of regulation has led to a proliferation of Chlorine Cowboys™ in Florida.

There are several very important Civil, Environmental and Health reasons why Chlorine usage should be controlled.

1. A State license will ensure that all roof cleaning contractors meet minimum knowledge, skill and safety standards particularly with regards to the use of Chlorine and other Toxic roof cleaning chemicals.

2. A State license will give consumers protection from Chlorine Cowboys™ (Contractors that have little or no formal training, knowledge or skill in the handling and application of Toxic Roof Cleaning Chemicals).

3. A State License will help to protect Florida's eco systems and the thousands of frogs and other small animals that are killed each year from the misuse of toxic roof cleaning chemicals.

4. A State license will set standards and encourage responsible contractors to invest in green alternatives to Chlorine.
